The Role 

Climate Neutral is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Product Manager for Carbon Measurement. In this role you’d be in charge of our carbon footprinting strategy from end to end. You would serve as our internal expert on carbon measurement, with a responsibility for our entire process, toolset, and partner ecosystem. A significant part of your role would be serving as product manager of our in-house software tool, the Brand Emissions Estimator (BEE).

Your Responsibilities 

You should be passionate and excited about enlisting businesses to solve the climate crisis, and well positioned to succeed with:

• Owning and championing a strategy for greenhouse gas footprint estimation that is simple, accessible, and technically credible
• Designing and overseeing the development of future versions of our BEE software tool
• Creating an excellent footprinting experience for companies
• Promoting our approach at conferences and in articles and other venues
• Working with third party experts and stakeholders on third party reviews
• Managing software developers and technical consultants 
• Managing technical documentation of our approach
• Helping create a sustainable business model for Climate Neutral

Here’s what we’re looking for in a candidate:

• 7+ years of work experience in software product management and greenhouse gas accounting
• At least two years of direct experience conducting greenhouse gas inventories using the GHG Protocol to analyze complex corporate footprints
• Familiarity with greenhouse gas emission factor datasets and the tradeoffs of alternative approaches to GHG accounting and lifecycle assessment 
• Familiarity with software architecture design and with Python, JavaScript, and other programming languages
• Strong track record in agile software development
• Ability to communicate clearly and get things done on time
• Passion for working on climate change solutions
• Flexibility to work remotely
• Enthusiasm for working in a fun, flexible, and mission-driven start-up

Climate Neutral is hiring a Head of Corporate Engagement to work with our growing list of committed and certified companies. We need someone on our team who can build a vibrant community among companies that are passionate about making business a force for climate action. Working closely with other members of our team, you would engage with our brands at all levels to build strong relationships and make sure that Climate Neutral is able to achieve the large scale impact we are seeking.

Your Responsibilities 

You should be passionate and excited about enlisting businesses to solve the climate crisis, and well positioned to succeed with:

• Designing and launching programs that support collaboration and knowledge-sharing among our committed and certified companies
• Building internal systems to create happy customers and recruit new ones
• Overseeing communications with our member brands
• Supporting brands throughout the Climate Neutral certification process
• Finding opportunities to collaborate with and communicate through complementary business networks
• Representing Climate Neutral at conferences and events
• Finding creative ways to build and operate a lean and effective organization

Here’s what we’re looking for in a candidate:

• 6+ years of experience managing membership or customer success programs
• Track record of achieving high customer satisfaction
• Careful attention to detail and ability to establish and maintain clients’ trust
• Experience in sales and business development
• Willingness to ask for direction when objectives aren’t clear
• Comfort with challenging the team to think creatively
• Ability to write clearly, since effective communication is so critical to our success
• Passion for working on climate change solutions
• Flexibility to work remotely
