Sustainability Story

We believe in making a positive impact beyond the products that empower our customers to live zero-waste. We're funding the restoration of forest and marine ecosystems damaged by the production and disposal of single-use paper and plastic. To date, we've planted over 30,000 trees and removed the equivalent of over 2.6 million plastic water bottles from the ocean through our nonprofit partners. We're also working towards a more closed-loop, sustainable future by designing out the waste from our packaging, extending our products lifespan through modularity, and running a take-back program to ensure products are recycled at the end of life.

What is Climate Neutrality

A state in which human activities result in no net effect on the climate system. Requires balancing of residual greenhouse gas emissions with reductions or removals. All Climate Neutral Certified brands must meet climate neutrality standards for measuring, offsetting, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from making and delivering products and services.

This certification covers business activities and operations for the following brands :

Hitch achieved Climate Neutral Certification as part of 's certification process. 's measurement, offsetting and reduction plans fully account for Hitch's 2021 emissions

01 Measure

Hitch measured Scope 1, 2 and 3 cradle-to-customer emissions following categories and approaches established in the Climate Neutral standards.

GHG Scope 1 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 1

Emissions from energy used in buildings, fleets, and equipment.

0 tCO2e

GHG Scope 2 ?

1 tCO2e

GHG Scope 3 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 3

Emissions from raw materials, manufacturing, shipping, air travel, and other activities in the supply chain.

109 tCO2e

Total Emissions ?
Total Carbon Emissions

The sum of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

110 tCO2e

02 Offset

Hitch invested in projects outside of their value chain to compensate for all of their measured carbon emissions. This step supports their climate neutrality designation, and enables Hitch to take responsibility for historical emissions that can’t be reduced.

Total Investment in Carbon Credits

$1,320.00

03 Reduce

Hitch has set targets and identified actions to reduce their emissions from operations and their supply chain. These actions will enable Hitch to emit fewer emissions in the future.

Mid Term Targets

Hitch has committed to reducing emissions by .

This target is aligned with global trajectories to limit climate warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Mid Term Targets

This target is aligned with global trajectories to limit climate warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

Reduction Actions

Hitch is implementing a Reduction Action Plan to reduce emissions from within its own operations and supply chain.
