What is Climate Neutrality

A state in which human activities result in no net effect on the climate system. Requires balancing of residual greenhouse gas emissions with reductions or removals. All Climate Neutral Certified brands must meet climate neutrality standards for measuring, offsetting, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from making and delivering products and services.

01 Measure

Vincero measured Scope 1, 2 and 3 cradle-to-customer emissions following categories and approaches established in the Climate Neutral standards.

GHG Scope 1 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 1

Emissions from energy used in buildings, fleets, and equipment.

0 tCO2e

GHG Scope 2 ?

34 tCO2e

GHG Scope 3 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 3

Emissions from raw materials, manufacturing, shipping, air travel, and other activities in the supply chain.

3,387 tCO2e

Total Emissions ?
Total Carbon Emissions

The sum of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

3,422 tCO2e

02 Offset

Vincero invested in projects outside of their value chain to compensate for all of their measured carbon emissions. This step supports their climate neutrality designation, and enables Vincero to take responsibility for historical emissions that can’t be reduced.

Current Year Reduction Actions

01

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions by shifting from Air freight dependency to significant portions of ocean freight.

How We'll Reduce It

New products will not be QCed and shipped in small batches, we'll wait and ship whole shipments via ocean freight.

02

What We’re Reducing

Use sustainable papers in packaging, catalogs, marketing and source recycled materials for actual products when available.

How We'll Reduce It

Using recycled stainless steel, sterling silver and fabrics for bags. Also using sustainable or recycled paper for marketing and packaging.

03

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions from overnight shipping, move to eliminating it as a practice for B2B and internal operations.

How We'll Reduce It

We'll work with our product design and photography teams to communicate deadlines ahead of time and move to avoid the overnight shipments.

04

What We’re Reducing

Create a more sustainable purchasing strategy.

How We'll Reduce It

We are going to be ordering in larger bulk. Instead of ordering in minimums and shipping in small quantities we are going to order more at a time. We'll also be condensing some of our line in certain categories to limit waste.

In Progress Reductions

01

50%

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions from purchased goods.

How We'll Reduce It

By using recycled nylon in our new collection of carry bags.

02

30%

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions from our upstream shipping.

How We'll Reduce It

We will work to decrease our reliance on air freight by shifting a portion of our upstream shipping to ocean freight. We will start implementing ocean freight in q4 2021 and ramp it up to 25% by 2022.

03
