Sustainability Story

At Someone Somewhere we focus on creating products that contribute to solving social issues while being responsible with the environment. As a BCorp and Climate Neutral Certified brand, we contribute to ten UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030. While working with rural artisans in Latin America, we understand sustainability in four dimensions: Cultural, Environmental, Social, and Economic. Our sustainability strategy focuses on measuring the ecological footprints of our products and processes. We work on reducing our impacts from product design to last-mile delivery and offset the remaining carbon emissions. We love partnering with other businesses that share our core values and purpose, so if your company is willing to make a difference with the planet and its people, let's talk!

GHG Scope 1 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 1

Emissions from energy used in buildings, fleets, and equipment.

Current Year Reduction Actions

01

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emission associated with the manufacturing and upstream transportation of our products.

How We'll Reduce It

We will invest in our own factory by Q3 2023 to manufacture 40% of our annual D2C production. This will reduce upstream logistics emissions by 30%, and energy consumption in manufacturing processes by 15%.

02

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions associated with the production of our products. We will transition to more responsible materials and methods by using recycled, organic, repurposed, or biodegradable materials in our D2C products by Q2, 2024.

How We'll Reduce It

We will transition to more responsible materials and methods by using at least 25% of recycled, organic, repurposed, or biodegradable materials in our D2C product by Q2 2024.

03

What We’re Reducing

We will focus on material optimization practices and operative processes to reduce waste by Q3 2023. We will also create an upcycled initiative using scrap materials from our production floors by Q4 2023.

How We'll Reduce It

We will design & manufacture 1-2 products that are solely made from factory scrap materials and aim to decrease our overall material usage by 5%.
