Nocs Provisions' goal is to preserve the land and sea that is shared by all. A 1% For the Planet member from day one, Climate Neutral since 2020, Nocs partners with educational and environmental organizations that serve to protect our natural resources and educate the next generation. The packaging of the product is entirely glue free, plastic free, using post consumer recycled cardboard and soy ink printing. The box can be shipped on its own. The interior scaffolding, made from a single piece of cardboard, holds the product in place, stores included accessories, and protects the product from impacts.

01 Measure

Nocs measured Scope 1, 2 and 3 cradle-to-customer emissions following categories and approaches established in the Climate Neutral standards.

GHG Scope 1 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 1

Emissions from energy used in buildings, fleets, and equipment.

0 tCO2e

GHG Scope 2 ?

2 tCO2e

GHG Scope 3 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 3

Emissions from raw materials, manufacturing, shipping, air travel, and other activities in the supply chain.

682 tCO2e

Total Emissions ?
Total Carbon Emissions

The sum of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

683 tCO2e

02 Offset

Nocs invested in projects outside of their value chain to compensate for all of their measured carbon emissions. This step supports their climate neutrality designation, and enables Nocs to take responsibility for historical emissions that can’t be reduced.

Current Year Reduction Actions

01

What We’re Reducing

We are continuing to shift the transportation of our goods from the manufacturer from using air freight, to the much more efficient oceanic freight.

How We'll Reduce It

We are forecasting our orders much more efficiently so we can afford to wait the much longer times that the ocean liner takes.

02

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce the emissions from the "Last Mile" shipping to our end consumers.

How We'll Reduce It

We are hiring additional warehouses that we ship from that will ultimately be closer to the end consumer.

01

What We’re Reducing

We plan to shift the majority of our inbound freight from factory to our fulfillment centers from air to oceanic shipping by the end of 2022.

How We'll Reduce It

We are purchasing larger amounts of product further in advance so that the timeliness of shipping is not as critical.

02

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce the emissions produced by shipping our goods by utilizing existing distribution centers that are geographically closer to our customers.

How We'll Reduce It

We plan to contract with fulfillment companies in order to leverage their more efficient distribution center networks and methodologies.
