What is Climate Neutrality

A state in which human activities result in no net effect on the climate system. Requires balancing of residual greenhouse gas emissions with reductions or removals. All Climate Neutral Certified brands must meet climate neutrality standards for measuring, offsetting, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from making and delivering products and services.

KORA Organics achieved Climate Neutral Certification as part of 's certification process. 's measurement, offsetting and reduction plans fully account for KORA Organics's 2021 emissions

01 Measure

KORA Organics measured Scope 1, 2 and 3 cradle-to-customer emissions following categories and approaches established in the Climate Neutral standards.

GHG Scope 1 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 1

Emissions from energy used in buildings, fleets, and equipment.

1 tCO2e

GHG Scope 2 ?

33 tCO2e

GHG Scope 3 ?
GHG Protocol Scope 3

Emissions from raw materials, manufacturing, shipping, air travel, and other activities in the supply chain.

3,519 tCO2e

Total Emissions ?
Total Carbon Emissions

The sum of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.

3,553 tCO2e

02 Offset

KORA Organics invested in projects outside of their value chain to compensate for all of their measured carbon emissions. This step supports their climate neutrality designation, and enables KORA Organics to take responsibility for historical emissions that can’t be reduced.

Current Year Reduction Actions

01

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce our upstream shipping emissions by 20% over the course of the next 12 months.

How We'll Reduce It

We plan to achieve this goal by reducing the usage of air freight to ship packaging and finished goods and pivoting more toward ocean freight. We can achieve this by continuing to extend our production planning horizon.

02

What We’re Reducing

We plan to move away from the use of virgin, non-recyclable, and/or non-reusable packaging for our products.

How We'll Reduce It

We plan to use only refillable, recyclable, recycled or biodegradable packaging for our production launches and also plan to repackage existing hero products in these over the next 2 years.
