Current Year Reduction Actions

01

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce air freight shipping by 50% going into 2022, and minimizing shipping inefficiencies by 25% by 2022.

How We'll Reduce It

We will reduce air freight emissions by ordering more product farther in advance (better purchase planning), and we will be minimizing shipping inefficiencies by optimizing shipping packaging.

02

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce carbon emissions in manufacturing finished product.

How We'll Reduce It

We plan to reduce emissions by incorporating more Bluesign approved fabrics and also recycled raw material content into our finished products.

Other Sustainability Notes

At Kammok, we're on a mission to elevate time outside by designing adventure grade, better made gear. Gear supports our experiences outdoors, but producing gear creates carbon emissions that impact our planet and the people: from our families and neighbors to the factory workers on the front-lines of climate change overseas, and even future generations. We believe that climate change is so much more than solely an environmental or political issue—it's a human issue that affects all of us. As a company driven by three core values of adventure, community, and love, it's a challenge and an adventure in itself to reduce our climate impact, and we do this for the love of our global community. We take responsibility for our footprint and are committed to reducing our future impact. We are measuring the carbon footprint of our products and operation impacts across the business, and we have a reduction plan in place that includes incorporating recycled materials, working with Bluesign certified mills to ensure water and energy reduction, and reducing emissions from freight shipping. We also pledge to fully offset the carbon emission that remains. Since the start of our business, durability and versatility have been the core of product innovation to reduce our environmental impact — better made gear means fewer products to purchase, a longer lifespan of use, and fewer items in the landfill. With every decision from the sourcing of materials to the finished product delivery to customers' homes, we challenge ourselves to do better every step along our sustainability journey.
