Sustainability Story

At Icelantic, our mission is to help our customers Return to Nature. We create long lasting products that aim to inspire people through art and functionality to do just that. In order to live up to this mission, it is essential that we also protect nature in a variety of ways. Becoming Climate Neutral Certified is the first of many steps Icelantic is taking to reduce the impact our company and products have on the nature that we strive to return too. By quantifying our carbon emissions, we were able to set actionable reduction targets and find new ways to make our operations more efficient We will continue our partnerships with a variety of planet focused organizations by donating a portion of our sales of limited edition ski, apparel, and original artwork. As we continue on this journey, we will be implementing changes to our operations that maintain our commitments to our customers and our environment.

What is Climate Neutrality

A state in which human activities result in no net effect on the climate system. Requires balancing of residual greenhouse gas emissions with reductions or removals. All Climate Neutral Certified brands must meet climate neutrality standards for measuring, offsetting, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from making and delivering products and services.

Icelantic Skis has set targets and identified actions to reduce their emissions from operations and their supply chain. These actions will enable Icelantic Skis to emit fewer emissions in the future.

What We’re Reducing

Icelantic Skis plans to reduce our scope 1 emissions from our company vehicle. Increasing the efficiency of our vehicle will help reduce our events, operations, and marketing emissions as we use this vehicle for a variety of purposes.

How We'll Reduce It

We plan on replacing our current Jeep Gladiator with Jeep?s new Hybrid Electric Wrangler. The new Wrangler will have a significantly better fuel efficiency rating and can be operated using only electricity for roughly 25 miles which covesr most trips.

We plan to reduce our scope 2 emissions by working with a local solar garden, Native Suns LLC, and our utility company, Xcel Energy, to source 100% of our electricity usage at our headquarters and retail shop from renewable solar energy.
