Sustainability Story
Since our inception, flaik has understood the symbiotic relationship between our business and the climate. We believe in the power of collective climate action to propel our industry towards short- and long-term climate goals. However, we are the first to acknowledge that to this day, we were not living up to our end of the bargain. Beginning in 2021, we made it our mission to reinvest and realign our company goals and mission around our commitment to the environment. Transparency is a guiding force at flaik. We encourage open dialogue with our internal and external teams in order to promote best practices and learn from each other. Where we are today on our sustainability journey is certainly a reflection of this mentality, as we are crafting our vision with the support of our partners and industry experts. We invested in climate solutions like a wind farm, regenerative grazing, and solar cook stoves to offset 10x our 2021 carbon footprint. We meet monthly to discuss current events and provide solutions for our staff to be more sustainable at home. All of our business ground travel is conducted in electric vehicles. We are developing a software to aid companies in the transition to sustainable supply chains. We invest our money in the future we want to see & speak out when possible about the drastic impacts of climate change and opportunities for climate action. This Climate Neutral Certification is a celebration of what flaik has accomplished. It signifies the drastic changes we hope to see as the future unveils itself: snowy, equitable, diverse, and renewable. We love to chat & learn, so feel free to reach out!
What is Climate Neutrality
A state in which human activities result in no net effect on the climate system. Requires balancing of residual greenhouse gas emissions with reductions or removals. All Climate Neutral Certified brands must meet climate neutrality standards for measuring, offsetting, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from making and delivering products and services.
