Sustainability Story
Fireclay Tile is the first and only B Corp tile maker and the first Climate Neutral Certified tile company! While we've been offsetting carbon emissions since 2012, it was not until 2019 that we offset our full Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions with the help of Climate Neutral and Carbon Fund. We are also actively working to become Zero Waste Certified in 2021. Other initiatives include purchasing 100% renewable energy in our Aromas, CA and San Francisco, CA locations, as well as working to improve our energy efficiency, such as 3x improvements in our natural gas utilization in the past 3 years. We have a long way to go to completely reduce our harm, and Climate Neutral Certification is a great step in that journey.
