Current Year Reduction Actions

01

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions from our single company vehicle, which is currently a massive old 12 passenger van.

How We'll Reduce It

We will explore leasing or purchasing options for a hybrid or fully electric vehicle or even a gas vehicle with increased gas mileage and decreased emissions if no hybrid or electric vehicle is available to us.

02

What We’re Reducing

We plan to reduce emissions generated by the creation of new paper products and/or the water consumption used to make those products.

How We'll Reduce It

We will investigate and purchase 100% recycled and/or green paper products, including paper towels, toilet paper, personal hygiene products, and printer paper

Other Sustainability Notes

Boulders Climbing Gym is located on unceded Ho-Chunk and Winnebago land, and we urge our local and national governments to explore Land Back options to mitigate the detrimental environmental impacts of colonization. In the meantime, we are committed to minimizing our impact on this land and fostering sustainable relationships with the earth. Boulders uses 100% renewable energy wherever possible, with 25% coming from our own Shared Solar arrays, a program we source through MG&E. We engage our community in fundraising and clean-up efforts, invest in energy-efficient technology, source vegan and renewable products, and teach sustainable practices in our classes. We’re proud to work with Climate Neutral to offset our remaining carbon footprint.
