Sustainability Story
Founded in 2014, 22 Degrees produces quality products for people who live and work on the ocean. From the beginning, the goal was always to be a sustainable business, and take steps to make a difference where possible. As the founder and owner, I am committed to the core values of sustainability and social responsibility. Personally, I’ve seen the effects of climate change first hand as an underwater photographer and VR filmmaker. I’ve partnered with non-profits and marine science research efforts to work on projects to collaborate and advance their efforts. ( MarAlliance, Parley for the Oceans, Asner Lab, Oceans 360, The Hydrous and The Ocean Agency.) In addition, the 22 Degrees brand ambassadors are involved in amazing work in the areas of marine research, conservation and awareness. They represent the spirit of 22 Degrees – the passion for the ocean. The more you learn about climate change issues, the more you realize how much needs to be done. I think every action, no matter how big or small will have a ripple effect, inspiring, motivating and combining for collective positive change. Becoming Climate Neutral Certified was a natural step for 22 Degrees as a company, and we are excited to be a part of the movement.
